The mission of the Carol H. Brice Family Center is to empower families and improve the quality of life for people in the Greater Fairbanks Area.
The Carol H. Brice Family Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by a group of visionaries committed to serving families in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. To that end, the group purchased a 25,000 square foot building from the Greater Fairbanks Hospital Foundation in 1994, and extensively remodeled the building to suit the needs of its partner agencies. Revitalizing, promoting, and maintaining our building allows our partner providers to focus on the programs and people they serve without being concerned about where they are going to get the money to do the necessary repairs if the furnace fails or the roof leaks.
Through the years, the CBFC has housed dozens of local organizations and helped them grow by providing full-service, below market value leases to nonprofit agencies that provide family-centered services. The CBFC is now home to four complimentary agencies that provide human services to the Fairbanks community and surrounding area.
